|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs) (sifted)|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Milk||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Sift together dry ingredients.
Cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add egg and milk, stirring only till dough follows fork around bowl.
Turn out on floured surface; knead gently about 15 times.
Cut the dough in half.
Shape each half into a ball and pat or roll a round about 1/2 inch thick and 6 inches in diameter; cut into 8 wedges like a pie.
Place the wedges on an un-greased baking sheet without allowing the sides to touch.
Brush with slightly beaten egg.
Bake at 425° about 12 to 15 minutes or to deep golden brown.
