This is a homemade cranberry sauce that can be made in a short period of time and you'll only need a few ingredients. While the canned cranberry sauce is a cinch to grab, you might just want give making your own a try. It's a great balance of sweet and tangy that will compliment your turkey and dressing. Enjoy!
Fresh cranberries/Frozen cranberries | 3 Cup (48 tbs) , washed and drained | |
Granulated sugar | 5 Tablespoon (¼ Cup + 1 Tablespoon) | |
Light brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Orange juice | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
Orange liqueur | 2 Tablespoon (1 or 2 Tablespoons Grand Marnier Orange Liqueur) |
MAKING
1. In a medium sauce pan, combine the cranberries, sugar, brown sugar, orange juice, and allspice. Stir and simmer over medium-high heat for about 20 minutes or until cooked down into a thick sauce.
2. Add in the orange liqueur and stir well.
SERVING
3. Serve with turkey or vegetables.
