Baked Apples with Orange Sauce

Golden delicious apples 3 Medium
Unsweetened orange juice 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Cinnamon sticks 2 (3 Inches Each)
Whole cloves 6
Cornstarch 1 Teaspoon
Water 1 Tablespoon
Vanilla ice milk 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)



1. Preheat the oven at 350°.

2. To prepare the apples, peel them, cut in half lengthwise and remove core.


3. In a 10- x 6- x 2-inch baking dish arrange apples in a single layer.

4. In a small saucepan bring to a boil combining next 4 ingredients and pour over apples.

5. Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until just tender.

6. Transfer liquid in baking dish to saucepan, set apples aside and keep warm.

7. In a bowl combine cornstarch and water and stir into liquid in saucepan.

8. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.

9. Remove cinnamon stick and cloves.


10. In an individual serving dish place each apple half and spoon V* cup ice milk on each.

11. Top with sauce and serve.
