Spicy Garlic Basil Oil For Dipping

This will keep refrigerated for 1 week.


10 cloves garlic, peeled
1 cup soybean oil
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup basil, chopped
1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes


Heat 1 cup soybean oil, red chili pepper flakes and garlic cloves over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes.Remove from heat and allow to cool completely, about an hour.Transfer mixture to a food processor, add basil and blend until smooth.Season with salt and serve at room temperature with baguette slices.
