Apple Pear Butter

Want to make something yummy and make the house smell delicious? This apple pear butter will do just that.


Pear 6
Apple 6
Apple cider 500 Milliliter (or as needed)
Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
Nutmeg 2 Teaspoon
Ground clove 1 Teaspoon
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon



1.  Core the pears and apples and dice them into fairly uniform chunks.



2.  In a large saucepan, put the apples and pear chunks. Pour in the apple cider and bring it to a boil. Simmer till the fruits are soft, this will take about 30 minutes.

3.  Add in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and ground cloves. Blend well using a hand blender.

4.  Add the lemon juice to finish it off.

5.  Ladle into glass jars and refrigerate.



6.  Serve as a condiment along with bread or crackers.
