In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Bold Barbecue Beef Sandwiches. These are made with pulled beef cooked in a slow cooker, mixed with zesty barbeque sauce, the most recent video in bettyskitchen.
Beef shoulder | 2 Pound (or any cut of beef)
Salt and pepper | To Taste
Barbeque sauce | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (as needed, betty's or of your choice)
Kaiser buns | 6 |
GETTING READY
1. Season the beef with salt and pepper on all sides.
2. Line a slow cooker with aluminum foil.
MAKING
3. Place seasoned beef in slow cooker and wrap it with aluminum foil. Cover with lid, turn to HIGH and cook for 6 to 8 hours.
4. Remove cooked roast from slow cooker and place on cutting board. Tent with aluminum foil and let sit until cool enough to refrigerate. Place cooled roast in refrigerator until chilled.
5. When chilled, use a knife to remove all excess fat. Cut and pull the beef into bite-sized chunks.
6. Mix zesty barbeque sauce with pulled beef, using only as much of each to make a good consistency for a sandwich filling.
7. Transfer sandwich filling to a medium-large pot and heat over low to medium flame on stove until bubbly.
8. Spoon barbecued beef sandwich filling onto wheat sandwich buns.
SERVING
9. Serve while hot with your favorite side and enjoy!
