How to Make Smoked Salts

Making your own Smoked Salts is easier than you might think! You only need a few items: BBQ Grill, Sea Salt, Wood Smoking Chunks or Chips and a bit of time to make flavorful Smoked Salts. This video show you how to very easily make Hickory Smoked Sea Salt in just a couple of hours!


Coarse sea salt 2 Cup (32 tbs)



1. Set up a grill for indirect cooking with lump charcoal. Bring up the temperature to 350 F.

2. Take a pie pan and punch a bunch of holes with a sharp knife.



3. Place hickory wood for smoking. 

4. Fill the pie dish with coarse sea salt up to 3/8 inch. 

5. Place the pie dish on the grill and smoke them up for a couple of hours. Make sure to stir every half an hour such that all surfaces are evenly smoked.



6. Place the salt in air tight jars and use when required.
