Perfect Summer Fruit Bowl

This dish comprises of a variety of fruits, served mixed with flavored yogurt. Many a times, a similar fruit bowl is prepared mixed with their own juices or a syrup. Different variations of the same fruit salad are served either as an appetizer or a dessert.


Red apple 1 Medium , cored, chopped into small pieces
Banana 1 Medium , peeled, cut into small pieces
Mango 1 Small , cut into small pieces
Pineapple pieces 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Lemon yogurt 1 Cup (16 tbs)
For the garnish
Slivered almonds 2 Tablespoon
Chopped walnuts 1 Tablespoon
Cherries 3 Small
Mint leaves 2 Small (Optional)



1. In a large bowl, combine all the fruits.

2. Mix in the lemon yogurt. Garnish with almonds, walnuts, cherries and mint leaves (if using).

3. Refrigerate until ready to serve.


4. Serve chilled.


You may use any fruits and nuts of your choice.

If lemon yogurt is not available, you may add one drop of lemon extract to plain yogurt and mix.
