Layered Ham Salad

Frozen peas 10 Ounce (1 package)
Iceberg lettuce head 1/2 Medium , crisped
Cheddar cheese 4 Ounce , shredded (1 cup)
Red pepper 1 Large , seeded and chopped
Cherry tomatoes/Red and yellow cherry tomatoes 1 pint each, halved
Cucumber 1 Large , scored and thinly sliced
Green onion 1 Cup (16 tbs) , sliced (with green tops)
Ham 1 Pound , unsliced, boiled, cut into 2 1/2
Mayonnaise 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Bottled oil and vinegar dressing 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)



1) A day before cook frozen peas as per package instructions. Do not add butter and drain.

2) Tear lettuce into bite-size pieces and keep aside 2 tablespoons cheese.

3) Take a large salad bowl and layer, lettuce, remaining cheese, red pepper, half of tomatoes, cucumber, remaining tomatoes and green onion.

4) Arrange peas around edge of dish and put place ham strips in center.

5) Spread mayonnaise to edge to cover entire surface of salad. Cover and refrigerate overnight.


6) Drizzle bottled dressing over mayonnaise and sprinkle reserved cheese. And serve.
