Betty demonstrates how to make Beet and Apple Salad. This recipe was sent in by Tori Durham of Burlington, Ontario Canada. It is a large salad -- great for a potluck dinner.
|Granny smith apples||5 (cored and diced)|
|Cooked beets||3 Can (30 oz) , dice|
|Shredded carrots||10 Ounce (1 package)|
|Red wine vinegar/Apple cider vinegar||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Coarse salt||To Taste (freshly ground)|
|Freshly ground black peppercorns||To Taste|
In a very large bowl, gently mix together apples, beets, and carrots. Add dressing ingredients and gently toss.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill until ready to serve.
