Farm Fresh Salad with Dijon Vinaigrette

Check out this salad we made during a farm visit, featuring vegetables, fruit, and edible flowers tossed in a simple dijon vinaigrette. Good eating can be this simple when it's fresh.


Lettuce head 1/2 , sliced
Tomato 1 Large , cubed
English cucumber 1/2 , cubed
Purple basil 4 , chopped
Parsley sprig 1 , chopped
For dijon vinaigrette
Juice of lemon 1
Dijon mustard 1 Teaspoon
Extra virgin olive oil 1 Tablespoon
Salt and pepper To Taste



Place all the veggies in a bowl and set aside.

For the vinaigrette – in a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients.

Pour the vinaigrette over the salad and toss well.


Serve with your choice of protein.
