How to Make Mascarpone-Filled Walnut Rolls

Looking for a decadent breakfast treat to wow your overnight house guests? Jenny Flake, a former Pillsbury Bake-Off Finalist, shows us how to make incredibly rich mascarpone-filled cranberry walnut rolls.

Ingredients

Buttermilk biscuit dough 13 4/5 Ounce (1 pack)
Mascarpone cheese/Cream cheese 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Non stick cooking spray 2 Dash
Melted butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Walnuts 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , chopped
Dried cranberries 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
For the drizzle
Mascarpone cheese/Cream cheese 1 Tablespoon
Milk 2 Tablespoon
Powdered sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Grease an 8 or 9 inch cake pan with non stick cooking spray. Set aside.

3. In a bowl mix sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

MAKING

4. Unwrap the biscuit pack. Press each biscuit gently and spread it in to 3 inch circles.

5. Place 1 teaspoon of the mascarpone cheese in the center of each circle and bring the sides together and seal it to a ball. Dip each ball in melted butter and then in the cinnamon sugar and place it in the greased cake pan. Repeat this with all the balls.

6. Sprinkle ¼ cup walnuts and ¼ cup of cranberries on top. Pour the rest of the melted butter over it and spread the remaining cinnamon sugar all over.

7. Bake in the preheated oven for around 28- 33 minutes or till they turn golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it sit for 1 minute before transferring them into a plate.

8. DRIZZLE: In a bowl mix all the ingredients for the drizzle till well combined and smooth.

9. Sprinkle the remaining walnuts and cranberries on top. Drizzle the cheese-milk mixture on top generously.

SERVING

10. In a serving plate serve the rolls warm.
