Want cinnamon rolls but don't want to be bothered with bread dough? Here is a great recipe that uses frozen puff pastry and can be in the oven in no time at all. You can play with the ingredients and add nuts or leave out the raisins if you wish - you don't really even need the frosting...

Ingredients

For cinnamon buns
Frozen puff pastry 454 Gram , Defrosted
Butter 3 Tablespoon , melt
Dark brown sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs) (or nuts)
For frosting
Cream cheese 60 Gram
Butter 1 Tablespoon , softened
Vanilla extract 1/4 Teaspoon
Icing sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (ish icing sugar)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.

2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.

MAKING

3. Roll out the puff pastry, depending on brand there may be 1 or 2 sheets.

4. Brush pastry sheet with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon, and sugar.

5. Lightly press the cinnamon and sugar into the pastry. Sprinkle over the raisins.

6. Carefully roll the dough into 1-2 logs, depending on the number of sheets. Cut into 8 - 16 even pieces and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.

7. Pop the baking sheet in oven and bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and set it aside to cool.

8. Now for frosting, in a mixing bowl combine cream cheese, butter and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy.

9. Gradually beat in the icing sugar until it reaches the desired consistency and sweetness.

MAKING

10. Spread the frosting on warm cinnamon rolls and serve immediately.
