A good ol' cinnamon roll, an apple cranberry cinnamon roll and a Nutella cinnamon roll. Who could go wrong with that? Each of these almost instant cinnamon rolls take less than 5 minutes to prepare- SO perfect for breakfast, brunch or any time of day, really.
For basic rolls: | ||
Puff pastry sheet | 1 , thawed | |
Brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Ground cinnamon | 1 Tablespoon | |
For apple cranberry rolls: | ||
Apple | 1 Small , peeled and diced | |
Dried cranberries | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (handful) | |
For nutella rolls: | ||
Nutella/Any hazelnut spread | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Ground cinnamon | 2 Teaspoon | |
For the glaze: | ||
Powdered sugar | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
Milk | 3 Tablespoon | |
Vanilla extract | 1 Dash |
GETTING READY:
Preheat oven to 200°C/ 400°F.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
MAKING:
In a small bowl, combine cinnamon with sugar and mix well.
Dust puff pastry with flour and place on working board.
Cut into two and spread butter over one half of sheet.
Sprinkle cinnamon mixture over puff pastries and roll as shown in the video.
Cut one half of pastry into small rolls.
Place on baking tray.
For apple cranberry rolls, place apple pieces and cranberries over another half of cinnamon-mixture sprinkled sheet and roll it. Cut into small rolls and place on baking sheet.
For nutella rolls, spread nutella on pastry sheet and sprinkle cinnamon sugar over it. Roll and cut into small rolls. Place on baking tray.
Pop into oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
For icing, combine sugar, milk, vanilla extract and mix well.
Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls.
