Bored of the regular vegetable fried rice? Try the 5 spice fried rice instead. Steamed Chinese rice is tossed in with chopped spring onions, bean sprouts, paneer and of course the secret ingredient of this recipe 5 spice powder. Enjoy piping hot!

Ingredients

Cooked rice 2 Cup (32 tbs) (chawal)
Oil 2 Tablespoon
Spring onion whites 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , thinly sliced
Bean sprouts 2 Tablespoon
Cottage cheese pieces 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (paneer)
Salt To Taste
Chinese 5 spice powder 2 Teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat the oven.

MAKING

2. In a non-stick pan, add oil, and when hot add spring onion whites. Saute for a minute or two, before adding bean sprouts and paneer. Mix properly and cook on high heat for a minute.

3. Now add salt and 5 spice powder, and cook for a minute, while stirring continuously. Mix in cooked rice, and cook on high heat for a minute or two, while stirring intermittently.

4. Transfer the rice mix into an oven safe bowl and cover with an aluminum foil. Bake in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes at 200 degrees C (400 degrees F).

SERVING

5. Serve the rice hot.
