Betty's Salted Caramel Rice Krispies Treats - Christmas

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Salted Caramel Rice Krispies Treats. These are everyone's favorite Rice Krispies Treats, flavored with trendy, luscious Salted Caramel.


Rice krispies cereal 6 Cup (96 tbs)
For sauce
Butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Dark brown sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , firmly packed
Heavy whipping cream 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Light corn syrup 1 Tablespoon
Coarse sea salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Miniature marshmallow 10 1/2 Ounce
For greasing
Cooking oil spray 1/2 Teaspoon
To sprinkle on top
Coarse sea salt To Taste



1. In a large mixing bowl, place the rice cereal and set aside.


2. In a medium-sized heavy pot, melt butter over medium flame and then add brown sugar, whipping cream, and corn syrup. Stir occasionally and cook for about 7 minutes or until thickened.

3. Stir in sea salt, remove the pot from heat and immediately add marshmallows. Stir until melted.

4. Quickly pour the mixture into the bowl with rice cereal. Stir until well coated.

5. Into a greased 8-inch by 8-inch Pyrex baking dish, transfer the mixture and press down with a piece of greased parchment paper.

6. Sprinkle top with coarse sea salt, to taste. Let cool completely.


7. Cut into squares and serve.
