Delicious basic Fried Rice Recipe for you to adjust to your own tastes. Fred rice makes a healthy, tasty and quick snack or side dish.
Cooked long grain rice | 2 Cup (32 tbs) , crumbled with fingers ((cold)) | |
Eggs | 2 , whisked with 1 tablespoon of water | |
Minced garlic | 1 Teaspoon | |
Canola oil/Peanut oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
Diced onion | 2 Tablespoon | |
Diced meat | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) ((cooked or raw, optional)) | |
Salt | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Frozen peas and carrots | 1 Cup (16 tbs) , thawed | |
Soy sauce | 1 Dash | |
Thinly sliced green onions/Chives | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) |
MAKING:
1.Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in wok and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
2.Add egg and stir quickly until it is set. Break into small pieces.
3.Add remaining oil and sauté onions for 1 minute.
4.Add rice, salt, peas, carrots and stir well. Add meat if used. Cook for 8 minutes.
5.Season with soy sauce.
6.Garnish with green onions.
