How To Make an Herb Crusted Prime Rib Roast

Garlic 4 Clove (20 gm)
Fresh sage leaves 8
Fresh thyme leaves 4 Teaspoon
Olive oil 4 Teaspoon
Kosher salt 4 Teaspoon
Fresh ground black pepper 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Boneless prime rib roast 5 21/50 Pound
For horseradish sauce
Sour cream 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Prepared white horseradish 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)



1. Preheat the oven to 500 F.

2. In a food processor, drop garlic, blend until finely chopped. Add sage, thyme, oil, salt and pepper, process until paste forms.

3. Pat dry the meat with paper towels. Rub meat all over with herb paste. Cover and refrigerate for 3 – 12 hours.


4. Approximately 1 hour prior to placing Prime Rib into the oven take the rib out of the refrigerator and allow to get to room temperature.

5. Roast in the oven for 27 minutes.

6. Meanwhile prepare the sauce – in a blender, add in all the ingredients and blend.

7. After 27 minutes, turn off the oven but let the roast sit there for 2 hours.


8. Serve roast with sauce.
