How to Make Prime Rib Roast

Prime rib is a flavorful roast to serve for any special occasion. Enjoy this easy to follow recipe passed down from Grandma Luken.

Ingredients

Prime rib roast 6 Pound (bone in)
Flour 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Dried rosemary 1 Tablespoon
Salt 2 Teaspoon
Pepper 2 Teaspoon
Water 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) (1/2

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

2. In a large mixing bowl, add flour, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

3. Gradually pour ½-3/4 cup water and mix to form a paste.

4. Spread flour paste all over the prime rib.

5. Place a roasting rack in a large roasting pan. Place rib on the rack.

6. Pour 1 cup of water in pan. Insert a thermometer in meat.

MAKING

7. Place the pan in oven and roast for 60 minutes. Let the meat remain in oven. Do not open the oven door for the entire time meat is in the oven.

8. Turn the oven to 250 degree and cook for another 60 minutes before your decide to serve.

SERVING

9. Carve prime rib and serve it with grilled asparagus.

TIPS

Bake roast for about 20 minutes per pound.
