Betty demonstrates how to make Red and White Chocolate Pudding for Valentine's Day. This pudding is made with white chocolate, but half of it is colored red with red food coloring to make a dramatic dessert for Valentine's Day.

Ingredients

Sugar 1 1/2 Tablespoon
Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
Salt 1/4 Teaspoon
Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
White chocolate chips 5 Ounce
Butter 2 Tablespoon
Vanilla extract 1/2 Teaspoon
Red food coloring 2 Drop (if desired)

Directions

Making

In a medium-sized saucepan, stir together sugar, cornstarch, and salt.

Add milk and stir until dry ingredients are dissolved.

Place over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

When the mixture comes to a boil, cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

Add white chocolate chips, butter, and vanilla. Stir until white chocolate chips and butter melt completely.

Divide pudding into 2 equal parts and pour into 2 small bowls. To one bowl of pudding, add enough red food coloring to achieve a bright red color.

Pour about an inch and a half of the red pudding in dessert glasses and chill, letting the white pudding sit at room temperature. When the red pudding is firm, pour an equal amount of white pudding over the top of the jelled red pudding. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until the white pudding is firm.

Refrigerate completed dessert until serving time.

Serving

Remove the plastic wrap from the top and serve immediately.
