Creamy & delicious Rice Pudding

Also known as Phirni or Kheer in India and Pakistan, this pudding is ready in 20 mins with basic ingredients. You can customize this anyway you like to your own tastes.


Rice 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Cardamom seeds 1/4 Teaspoon
Ghee 1 Tablespoon
Milk 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Heavy cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Saffron 1 Pinch (Optional)



1. In a food processor, pulse rice along with cardamom to get a coarse consistency.

2. In a sauce pan, heat ghee, add in the rice mixture, saute for about a minute.

3. Add milk and saffron, allow to boil. Add sugar, cover and cook for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring ocasionally.

4. Add cream and cook for few more minutes.



5. Garnish with crushed pistashio or as desired.
