Devils food cake mix without pudding | 18 1/2 Ounce (1 Package) | |
Whipping cream | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Sifted powdered sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon |
MAKING
1)Combine walnuts, vanilla wafer crumbs , brown sugar and butter.
2)Use four ungreased 9-inch round cake pans and sprinkle about 3/4 cup of walnut mixture in each, pressing lightly into pans.
3)As per package directions prepare cake, pour batter over walnut mixture in prepared pans.
FINALIZING
4)Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
5)Remove layers from pans immediately, and let cool completely.
6)Add powdered sugar gradually to whipping cream until foamy, and beat it until stiff peaks form.
7)Stir in vanilla.
8)Place 1 layer, nut side up, on serving plate.
9)Spread 3/4 cup whipped cream over layer.
10)Again with remaining 3 layers, ending with whipped cream and chill.
SERVING
11)Serve chilled.
