Porridge With A Twist

This version of porridge uses organic low fat milk, certified by the National Association of Sustainable Agriculture Australia (NASAA) which means you are assured of drinking a product free from synthetic pesticides, fertilisers and herbicides. It's a delicious nutrient dense breakfast with a low GI to give you sustained energy throughout the morning.


Rolled oats 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Low fat organic milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Pinch
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Walnuts 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Stewed apples 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)



1. Add milk, rolled oats, cinnamon, salt and water to a pot. Stir and bring it to boil.

2. Reduce the heat to simmer and cook for 5 minutes with constant stirring.

3. While the oats are cooking, dry roast the walnuts in a pan.


4. Scoop the porridge in a serving dish, top it with stewed apples and top it with walnuts. Serve warm with a splash of milk.
