The Kitchen Witch demonstrates how to make Maple Bourbon Brined Pork Chops with Orange Bourbon Glaze. The perfect recipe for Father's Day!


For brine
Boiling water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Kosher salt/Sea salt 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (Soaked in brine and brine discarded)
Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
Pure maple syrup 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Bourbon 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Coarse pepper 1 Teaspoon
Garlic cloves 4 , mince
Fresh rosemary sprigs 2 (only leaves used)
Other ingredient
Extra virgin olive oil 2 Tablespoon
Bone in pork loin roast 6 (thick cut)
For glaze
Fresh orange juice 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Pure maple syrup 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Bourbon 2 Tablespoon
Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
Dijon mustard 1 Tablespoon
Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
Cayenne 1 Pinch
Garlic clove 1 , mince



1. In a bowl, combine salt and boiling water.

2. In a large, resealable, freezer bag pour the salt mixture and then add maple syrup, bourbon, pepper, rosemary leaves, and garlic.

3. Pour water and place the pork chops in the bag. Seal, and refrigerate for 24 hours.

4. Rinse pork under cold water, pat dry and brush with extra virgin olive oil.

5. Preheat grill to 400 degree F.


6. Grill chops for 8-10 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degree for medium or 165 degree for well done.

7. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine orange juice, maple syrup, bourbon, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, cayenne, and garlic.

8. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, whisking occasionally for 10 minutes or until thickened and reduced by about one-third. Let cool.


9. Drizzle glaze over the chops and serve immediately.
