Pork Chops with Herbs

Lard/Margarine 25 Gram
Pork chops 4
Brown stock/Water 450 Milliliter (hot)
Onion 1 , peeled and chopped
Chopped fresh sage 1/2 Teaspoon
Chopped fresh thyme 1/2 Teaspoon
Chopped fresh parsley 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
Flour 2 Teaspoon
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)



1) Arrange the ingredients.


2) In the cooker, heat the lard or margarine and let the chops browned from all the sides.

3) Lift the chops out and drain off the excess fat from the cooker.

4) Stir in the stock or water and stock cube to the cooker and mix well to remove any residues from the base of the cooker.

5) With rim side down, place the trivet in the cooker.

6) Place the chops on the trivet and carefully sprinkle each with a mixture of the onion, herbs, salt and pepper.

7) Place the lid to close the cooker, bring to high pressure and cook for 10 minutes.

8) Reduce the pressure quickly.

9) Lift out the chops and place with herb topping to a warm dish and keep hot.

10) Again place the open cooker to the heat and add the flour blended with a little water.

11) Cook, stirring continuously, until boiling and thickened.

12) Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning, if necessary.


13) Pour the sauce sround the pork chop and serve.
