Pie (Kahula Coffee Pie)

This pie is so yummy,great on a hot day or any other day! Great for holidays too!


For crust
Almond cookies 6 3/5 Ounce
Butter 2 Tablespoon
Other ingredients
Egg yolks 8
Sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Coffee extract 1 Tablespoon
Coffee 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Kahlua 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
For cream mixture
Heavy whipping cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)



1. In a food processor, add in the almond cookies and butter. Process until crumbled.

2. Line a loaf pan with plastic wrap and press the crumbs into it. Place in the refrigerator.

3. In a large saucepan, add in egg yolks, sugar, coffee extract, and Kahlua. Place on the double boiler on medium heat and whisk until thick and creamy, about 5 minutes.

4. In a large bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until it forms soft peaks. Add in the sugar and beat until forms stiff peaks.

5. Take out the crust from the fridge and pour on the topping. Cover again with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8 hours.


6. Slice the pie and serve.
