Tuna Au Gratin Pie

Pastry 1 (Crisco, For 1 Crust Pie)
Condensed cream of mushroom soup 10 1/2 Ounce (1 Can)
Chopped onion 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Milk 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Flour 2 Tablespoon
Frozen peas 10 Ounce , thawed and drained (1 Package)
Canned tuna 12 1/2 Ounce , drained (1 Can)
Chopped pimiento 2 Tablespoon
Sharp process american cheese 4 Ounce , shredded (1 Cup)



1. Preheat the oven to 425°

2. Line a 9-inch pie plate with a thick layer of the pastry. Trim the crust, prick the bottom and flute the edges. If there are any pieces of the pastry leftover, let set them in the oven

3. Bake the shell and the pastry pieces to bake for 12 minutes till golden brown.


4. When the pieces cool down, crumble them into crumbs and set aside

5. In a large saucepan, pour out the soup, onion, milk and the flour and mix well

6. Cook this mixture till thick and bubbly. Remove the pan from the heat and add the peas, tuna, and the pimiento. Mix this well

7. Pour this into the pastry shell and top with cheese and the pastry crumbs and bake for 12-15 minutes till done or till the cheese melts.


8. Serve hot
