Classic Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

10 inch pie shell 1 (Unbaked, Unpricked)
Pumpkin puree 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Firmly packed brown sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground cinnamon 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground ginger 1 1/4 Teaspoon
Ground cloves 1/2 Teaspoon
Freshly grated nutmeg 1/2 Teaspoon
Eggs 3 , well beaten
Milk 1 1/4 Cup (20 tbs)
Evaporated milk 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Whipped cream 1 Tablespoon

Directions

Refrigerate the pie shell.

Thoroughly blend all ingredients for the filling.

Pour into the chilled pie shell.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.

Reduce heat to 350 degrees, continue baking 45-50 minutes longer or until the point of a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.

Cool and serve with a bowl of sweetened whipped cream.
