Mini Cottage Pies

Mini Cottage Pies is a classic main meal dish, perfect for weeknight dinners. A delicious beef and vegetable base with a layer of fluffy mashed potatoes. Baked until golden and served with a side salad, this gorgeous meal will keep the whole family happy - give it a go!


Lean beef mince 500 Gram (ground beef)
Potatoes 750 Gram , washed, peeled, chopped, boiled
Brown onion 1
Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm) , crushed
Zucchini 2 (courgettes)
Tomato paste 2 Tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce 2 Tablespoon
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (125 ml)
Butter 1 Tablespoon
Milk 2 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste
Olive oil 3 Tablespoon
Salad 1 Cup (16 tbs) (as a side dish)



Preheat oven to 180°C.

Place ramekins on baking tray.


In a large saucepan, combine cooked potatoes, butter, salt, pepper, milk and mash well.

Heat a frying pan, heat oil and sauté onions, garlic, carrots, zucchini.

Add beef and stir well. Cook until browned.

Add tomato puree, worcestershire sauce, water, salt, pepper and mix well.

Allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Divide the mixture into ramekins and top with mashed potato mixture.

Pop into oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.



Serve with salad and enjoy!
