Apple Pie Homemade Apple Pie

Follow this apple pie recipe for a holiday dessert everyone will love. Make the pie crust and fresh apple filling for the best apple pie you'll ever eat.

Ingredients

Pie crust 1 (1 recipe or storebought)
Mixed apple 3 Pound
White sugar 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs) (plus 1 tablespoon)
Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1/8 Teaspoon
Butter 3 Tablespoon
Cayenne pepper 1 Dash (optional)

Directions

GETTING READY:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

       

MAKING:

Roll out half of the crust into pie pan and trim the edges as shown in the video.

Roll out other half between wax paper. Pop into refrigerator along with crust.

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add apples, cinnamon, salt, cayenne pepper (optional) and sugar to it. Cook for 5 minutes until apples turn soft.

Transfer apples to bowl and bring liquid to boil until it thickens. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Place apples and prepared sauce to bottom crust and place top crust over it. Crimp edges and make cuts on top.

Sprinkle sugar if desired and pop into oven.

Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and allow to cool completely before serving.
