Gary House relives a childhood memory and grills up some delicious Mini Apple Pies on the Island Grillstone. A perfect recipe for the family at home or at camp!
|Apple||2 Large , peeled, sliced|
|Egg white||1 ((((for egg wash))))|
|Cinnamon||1 1/2 Teaspoon|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs) ((((plus extra for sprinkling on the top.))))|
Preheat the grill to 450°F with island grill stone and cast iron pan.
Melt butter in hot skillet and add apple slice to it. Add cinnamon, brown sugar, stir well and close the lid. Cook for approximately 8 minutes. Once done, allow it to cool down completely.
Unfold the pie crust and cut into 4 parts. Using pastry brush, apply egg wash on the sides.
Spoon prepared apple filling on the top, cover with another quarter of pie crust and seal the edges with fork as shown in the video. Brush with egg wash on the top and sprinkle sugar on the top.
Place the pies on the grill stone and cook for 10-12 minutes.
