Tomato | 1 Small , cut in 4 slices | |
Dry bread crumbs | 1 Tablespoon (Packaged) | |
Melted butter | 1 Teaspoon | |
Dried basil leaves | 1/2 Teaspoon |
GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
MAKING
2 In a 3-quart saucepan, add boiling water (2 inches deep) and parboil peppers until tender for 10 minutes.
3 Thoroughly, drain the peppers and cut off the tops; remove the seeds.
4 On a lightly greased baking dish, arrange the peppers standing upright,
5 Dividing evenly, stuff peppers with the three kinds of cheese cubes.
6 Top each pepper with a tomato slice.
7 Toss bread crumbs with melted butter and basil, and dividing evenly sprinkle on each pepper.
8 Bake for 20 minutes, or until hot and cheese is melted.
SERVING
9 Serve at once.
