Green peas 1 Pound (Fresh or frozen)
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Half and half 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Butter 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Corn starch 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , dissolved in 1/2 cup cold water



1) Arrange all the ingredients.


2) In a large heavy saucepan, combine peas, water, half-and-half, salt, butter and sugar over medium heat and bring almost to a boil.

3) Slowly add cornstarch mixture and cook, stirring, until the mixture thickens to the consistency of gravy.


4) Serve the warm creamed peas along with your main dishes and bread.
