Jam Turnovers

Ingredients

Rough puff pastry/Flaky pastry 4 Ounce
Jam 4 Tablespoon
Caster sugar 3 Teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1.Pre-heat the oven to Regulo 7, or 425°F.

MAKING

2. On a floured surface, roll pastry out to an 8 inch square. Turn over the pastry. Trim edges. Cut to form 4 squares.

3. Spoon a quarter of the jam on each pastry square.

4. With water, dampen the edges of each square; fold to make a triangular shape, pressing the edges well together; 'flake' the edges using a knife, then flute.

5. Brush turnovers with water and dust lightly with caster sugar.

6. Keep the turnovers on a flat baking tray.

7. Bake a third of the way down the oven for 15-20 minutes, until risen, golden brown and crisp.

SERVING

8. Serve hot or cold, with custard or cream.
