|Chopped pared apple||1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||3 Tablespoon|
|Melted butter/Margarine||1 Tablespoon|
Mix apples with sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Roll the pastry 1/8" thick, then cut into 4" squares.
Place a rounded tablespoonful of the apple mixture and 1/2 teasp melted butter in center of each square.
Dampen edges with water, then fold each square from corner to corner, to form a triangle.
Crimp edges together with a floured fork.
Prick the top of each turnover with a fork to let steam escape, then place on a greased or oiled cookie sheet and bake in a hot oven of 450°F., about 20-25 min or until brown.
