Potato Pancakes

Potatoes 1 Pound , peeled (500 Gram)
Flour 4 Ounce (100 Gram)
Eggs 2
Milk 1/2 Pint (250 Milliliter)
Grated onion 40 Milliliter (2 Tablespoons, 20 Milliliter Each)
Butter 40 Milliliter (2 Tablespoons, 20 Milliliter Each)
Salt 1 Teaspoon



1) Grate the onions and prepare other ingredients.


2) In a bowl, place the flour and salt in a bowl.

3) Beat milk and egg together and gradually beat into the flour.

4) Fry the onion in butter until it is transparent, but not coloured, and add to the batter.

5) Grate the potatoes directly into the batter and blend well.

6) On a lightly greased frying pan, cook spoonfuls or in an omelette pan, cooking on each side.


7) Serve the pancakes filled with meat or fish, in a thick sauce.
