Dry bread crumbs | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Lard/Peanut oil | 1 Tablespoon |
GETTING READY
1. Prepare the oysters by rinsing it under cold running water.
2. Drain them and dry them by spreading over absorbent paper or towel.
MAKING
3. Take a bowl, and add egg white into it. Slightly beat it along with water using a hand mixer.
4. Take a flat plate and add salt, flour, paprika and pepper into it and mix well.
5. Take another flat plate and add the bread crumbs into it.
6. Dredge each oyster in flour mixture, egg white mixture and over the bread crumbs.
7. Arrange the oysters on a large platter such that they remain one next to another.
8. Take a heavy pan and add 2 inches of melted lard or hot peanut oil.
9. Heat the pan to 375°F on a frying thermometer.
10. Fry the oysters until 1 -inch cube of the bread coating is browned.
11. Drain the browned oysters in absorbent paper.
SERVING
12. Serve the fried oysters with the sauce of your choice.
