Spanish onion | 2 Large , sliced in thick slices | |
All purpose flour | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) ((375 Milliliter)) | |
Cornstarch | 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((250 Milliliter)) | |
Egg | 1 Large | |
Vodka | 250 Milliliter ((1 Cup)) | |
Soda water | 250 Milliliter ((1 Cup, Club / Soda / Seltzer)) |
GETTING READY
1. Heat oil to 385 F.
MAKING
2. Whisk flour and cornstarch in a bowl to prepare flour mix.
3. Whisk egg in another bowl. Add vodka followed by soda water and mix that in.
4. Transfer the egg mix to the flour mix and then whisk them together to make batter.
5. Coat onion rings in cornstarch, dip them in batter and deep fry them.
6. Fry in batches to get all the onion rings done.
SERVING
7. Serve onion rings with honey soy ginger dressing.
