Eggs are a great way to get tons of iron and protein into your kids to start their day. Make them even more delicious and serve a fluffy cheese omelette.
Organic egg | 2 | |
Water | 2 Teaspoon (1 | |
Salt | 1 Pinch | |
Butter/Olive oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
Cheddar | 2 Tablespoon (or colby, monterey jack cheese) |
MAKING
In a medium bowl, whisk the egg, salt and water with a fork until thoroughly combined.
Melt butter in a 6 or 8-inch pan over medium heat. Slowly pour in the egg mixture and spread evenly. Cook for 10 seconds.
Using a spatula direct the mixture away from the sides and into the middle. Allow the remaining liquid to then flow into the space left at the sides of the pan. Continue to cook for another minute.
Sprinkle with the cheddar and gently fold the omelette in a half moon shape. Cook for another 30 seconds or until the omelette is thoroughly cooked through.
SERVING
5. Cut into bite size pieces and serve with some fresh fruit juice.
