How to Make Fried Okra

You don't have to go out for fried okra, you can make this at home. It is so easy to make from scratch.

Ingredients

Okra 1 Pound
For seasoned flour
Flour 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Paprika 1/4 Teaspoon
Chili powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Garlic salt 1/8 Teaspoon
Onion salt 1/8 Teaspoon
Other ingredients
Eggs 2 , beaten
Cornmeal 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Vegetable oil 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (For deep frying)
Salt and pepper To Taste

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Wash okra and cut into 3/8 inch slices.

2. In a bowl, season flour with paprika, chili powder, garlic salt, and onion salt. Mix well.

3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and set aside.

4. Drop chopped okra into the seasoned flour. Coat well and then wash it with beaten egg. Now roll wet okra pieces in cornmeal and shake off the excess.

5. In a skillet heat oil over medium high flame, and add coated okra pieces in it. Stir and cook for about 1-2 minutes or until browned.

6. Transfer it to paper towel and season with salt and pepper while still warm.

SERVING

7. Serve and enjoy!
