The Perfect Maui Mai Tai

The Mai Tai is the perfect Polynesian cocktail for beachside sipping, and bartender Rico Supnet of the Royal Lahaina Resort does it best. Rico shows Joy Robertson how to mix the signature drink, which features rocker Sammy Hagar's Beach Bar Rum.


Fresh squeezed lime juice 1/2 Ounce
Rum 1 1/2 Ounce ((Beach Bar Rum))
Orange curacao 1/2 Ounce
Disaronno 1/2 Ounce ((1/4
Orange juice 1 Ounce
Pineapple juice 2 Ounce
Ice cubes 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((as needed))



1. In a glass, add lime juice, rum, Curacao, disaronno, orange juice, and pineapple juice.

2. Fill the glass with ice, cover and shake well.


3. In a glass filled with ice, strain and pour the drink.


4. Drizzle beach bar red head rum, garnish with pineapple wedge and serve.
