DanDan Noodles Hong Kong Style (Noodles in Spicy Sichuan Peanut Sauce)

Hong Kong is known as a food lover's paradise. From Michelin starred restaurants to popular local eateries, dishes like DanDan Noodles are must-try delicacies.


Instant noodle packet 2
Beef 4 Ounce , finely chopped
Roasted peanuts 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) , finely chopped
Green onions 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) , finely chopped
For marinade
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Cornstarch 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground white pepper 1 Pinch
For dandan noodle sauce
Dark soy sauce 8 Tablespoon
Zhenjiang vinegar 2 1/2 Tablespoon (Available At Chinese Grocery Stores)
Cold water 4 Tablespoon , previously boiled
Sugar 2 Tablespoon
Dandan noodle sauce b (1 serving)
Ground sichuan pepper 1 Pinch
Sesame oil 1/2 Tablespoon
Sesame paste 1/2 Tablespoon (Mixed With The Sesame Oil)
Minced garlic 1/2 Teaspoon
Chili oil To Taste


1. Place 4 tbsp. of DanDan noodle sauce (A) in bowl. Then add DanDan noodle sauce (B).

2. Cook noodles in pot of boiling water until done. Drain and rinse. Mix with a little sesame oil to prevent noodles sticking together.

3. Mix beef with marinade and allow to stand for ten minutes. Then sauté in a little hot oil in a wok or frying pan.

4. Divide noodles into bowls with sauce A & B and toss well. Add a portion of beef to each bowl, sprinkle peanuts and green onion on top and serve.
