Celery | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , chopped | |
Spaghetti | 8 Ounce | |
Water | 2 1/2 Quart (boiling) | |
Cooking oil | 1 Tablespoon (optional) | |
Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
Canned tomatoes | 28 Ounce , mashed | |
Mushrooms | 10 Ounce , drained, sliced | |
Granulated sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon |
MAKING
1) In a frying pan heat olive oil.
2) Mix ground beef, onion and celery.
3) Saute for about 7 to 8 minutes until brown.
4) In a large uncovered Dutch oven boil water. Cook spaghetti, cooking oil and first amount of salt in it for about 11 to 13 minutes.
5) Drain out the spaghetti from water.
6) Transfer spaghetti into pot.
7) Stir and add meat mixture.
8) Mix the remaining ingredients.
9) Cover and simmer slowly for about 10 to 15 minutes.
10) Stir occasionally.
11) Add little water if required.
12) Adjust salt and pepper.
13) For color add 14 oz. (398 ml) drained cut green beans if desired.
SERVING
14) Serve hot.
