Betty's Mexican-Style Roasted Garbanzo Beans

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Mexican-Style Roasted Garbanzo Beans. Garbanzo beans are also called Chickpeas. This recipe is a flavorful, healthy alternative to typical snacks.

Ingredients

Canned garbanzo beans 45 Ounce (3 (15
Extra virgin olive oil 3 Tablespoon
Ground chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Ground cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
Dried oregano 1 Teaspoon
Ground sea salt To Taste
Fresh ground pepper corns To Taste

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Drain, rinse and pat dry garbanzo beans with paper towel.

2. Line a 15-inch by 10-inch by 1-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.

3. Preheat oven to 400 degree F.

MAKING

4. Place garbanzo beans on lined baking pan. Spread out evenly.

5. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, and oregano. Mix well and drizzle the mixture over garbanzo beans. Toss to coat evenly.

6. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Gently shake the baking pan to evenly distribute the seasoned garbanzo beans.

7. Pop the pan in oven and bake for 40-50 minutes.

SERVING

8. Remove from oven and serve while hot or cool to room temperature.
