In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make a Michelada, a flavorful mixed drink whose base is Mexican beer.
Lime juice | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (freshly squeezed or bottled) | |
Ice cubes/Crushed ice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (as needed) | |
Beer | 12 Ounce (Mexican beer (I used Corona beer)) | |
Worcestershire sauce | 2 Teaspoon | |
Hot sauce | 2 Teaspoon (such as Tabasco) | |
Soy sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
For garnish | ||
Freshly ground black pepper | To Taste | |
Lime slice | 1 (thin slice) | |
Sea salt | 1/2 Teaspoon (as needed to rim the glass) |
GETTING READY
1. Take two glasses and rub a wedge of lime around the rim.
2. In a shallow dish, place coarse salt, and move the rim of each glass in a circular motion and coat the rims with salt.
3. Fill the glasses with ice and set aside.
MAKING
4. In a medium-sized pitcher, add lime juice, Mexican beer, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and soy sauce. Stir well.
5. Pour drink into the prepared glasses and top with a few grinds of fresh black pepper and a thin slice of lime.
SERVING
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
