Make Strawberry nachos! Cinnamon-sugar chips with cream cheese, macerated strawberries and sour cream sauce. This fun dessert nachos recipe is part of my strawberry recipes series.
Flour tortillas | 4 | |
Melted butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Sugar | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
Cream cheese | 8 Ounce , softened | |
Powdered sugar | 6 Tablespoon | |
Orange/Lime | 1 | |
Ripe strawberries | 12 , diced | |
Orange liqueur | 1 Tablespoon | |
Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
Sour cream | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) |
GETTING READY
1.Set oven to 375ºF.
MAKING:
2.Brush one side of tortillas with butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
3.Cut into quarters and place in single layer on a baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove and let cool on the baking sheet. They will continue to crisp as they cool.
4.Meanwhile, blend the cheese with 1/4 cup powdered sugar until smooth.
5.Add the zest of the orange (about 1 teaspoon).
6.Mix the strawberries with the liqueur (if using) and brown sugar. Set aside at room temperature.
7.In a small bowl, whisk 1 tablespoon of the orange juice with 2 tablespoons sugar and the sour cream.
8.Top each tortilla chip with about a tablespoon of cream cheese, spoonful of strawberries and a drizzle of sour cream sauce.
SERVING:
9.Serve quickly.
