Carne Asada- How To Grill Like A Mexican!

Carne asada tacos with all the trimmings! Carlos is back to show how he makes carne asada with grilled nopales, onions and peppers. Hope you try this badass Mexican feast!


Flank steak 2 Pound , very thinly cut (may be labeled as carne asada)
For marinade::
Beer 12 Ounce
Onion 1 Small , sliced
Lime juice 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Minced garlic 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Worcestershire sauce 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 Teaspoon
Bulb onions 3/4 Pound (3 bunches)
Jalapenos 12
Anaheim peppers/Poblano pepper 3
Nopales cactus leaf 4 (cactus paddles, de
Chorizo sausage 1 Pound , butterflied links
For tacos:
Corn tortillas 5
Chihuahua cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salsa 1 Cup (16 tbs) (for serving)



1.In a large bowl, combine beer, onion, lime juice, garlic, worcestershire sauce, salt, chilli powder, black pepper and mix well. Put the meat slices in the bowl, cover with a lid and allow to marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.

2.Preheat the grill to 450F.


3.Place green bulb onions, jalapeno chilies, anaheim chilies, nopales, sausages on the preheated grill rack and grill for 10 minutes.

4.Flip the ingredients and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are cooked and chorizo is browned.

5.Transfer to warm oven and grill the meat for around 5 minutes (2 minutes per side).

6.Once the grill temperature reduces to 300-350F, cook quesadillas and tortillas.

7.Layer cheese over tortillas and arrange grilled ingredients (slices) in it for tacos. Garnish with cilantro (optional).


8.Serve with salsa, roasted peppers and bulb onions and enjoy!
