Chicken Shawarma Sandwich by DedeMed


Boneless skinless chicken breast 2 , cut into thin strips
Lemon juice 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Greek yogurt/Mediterranean yogurt 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Minced garlic 1 Tablespoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Ground cardamom 1/4 Teaspoon
Seven spice 1/4 Teaspoon
Paprika 1/4 Teaspoon
Dried parsley 1/4 Teaspoon
Cayenne pepper 1/8 Teaspoon
Cinnamon 1/8 Teaspoon
Extra virgin olive oil 3 Tablespoon
For sandwich
Pita 1



1. In a bowl, combine chicken with lemon juice, yogurt, garlic, salt, ground cardamom, seven spice, paprika, parsley, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside for 2 hours.


2. Preheat skillet over medium high flame and pour oil in it.

3. Add marinated chicken and cook for 10-12 minutes or until chicken is browned and cook through.


4. Spread sauce on pita, top it with chicken, followed by your favorite topping. Roll and wrap it with foil. Place in Panini press for 7 minutes.


5. Cut in half, serve and enjoy!
