Cinnamon Couscous

This slightly sweet and savory side dish is perfect to serve along side many vegetable or meat stews. Really simple it can be on the table in less than 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Water/Vegetable broth 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((250 mL))
Couscous 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs) ((170 mL))
Ground cinnamon 1/4 Teaspoon ((1 mL))
Ground ginger 1/4 Teaspoon ((1 mL))
Golden raisins 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) ((50 mL))

Directions

MAKING

1. In a medium saucepan, bring water or broth, cinnamon, ginger, and raisins to boil over high heat.

2. Stir in couscous, cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed.

SERVING

3. Fluff with fork and serve hot with Moroccan beans stew.
