Florentine Stuffed Meatloaf

Lean hamburger 1 Pound
Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
Mozzarella 1 Cup (16 tbs) , shredded
Egg 1 Medium , beate
Salt 1 Teaspoon (Optional)
Onion 1 Small , chopped
Pepper 1 Teaspoon
Frozen chopped spinach 20 Ounce , thawed (pakage)



1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

2. Drain and press excess moisture out of spinach.


3. In a medium bowl, mix together hamburger, egg, onion, salt and pepper.

4. In an 8” x 4” loaf pan, line sides and bottom with 2/3 of meat mixture, set aside.

5. In a medium bowl, mix together spinach and nutmeg.

6. Spread half of spinach over meat and press lightly.

7. Sprinkle cheese over spinach, top with remaining spinach and press lightly.

8. Put the remaining meat over top, and press to seal the seams.

9. Bake in oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until brown and firm in center.


10. Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes.

11. Invert and tap the loaf pan to demold the meatloaf.


12. Slice in meatloaf in desired thickness and serve as desired.
